Pumpkin Walk

After Em's birthday party, we went to the pumpkin walk.
There were TONS of fun pumpkins.

Silly kids!

This is my niece, Bree.  She is a huge Michael Jackson fan!

Emily's favorite.  Out of thousands of pumpkins.  Go figure ;)

Buzz Lightyear (AKA Gavin)

Tyler couldn't decide which one he like better.....

What a perfect end to Em's special day :)

Emily's Birthday

Emily turned 7 on October 23.  I cannot believe she is 7 years old already.  My how time flies.

The day started off with her favorite breakfast.  Scrambled eggs with ketchup, sausage, grapes and pineapple.  I even let her eat her breakfast on the heater vent, her favorite thing to do :)

I took her a Happy Meal to school for lunch, and she thought that was wonderful!  After school I took her to get her hair done.  Doesn't she look cute?  She enjoyed every minute of it!

She got a new bike, so when she got home, she wanted to ride it.  She rode for a couple of hours before family came over for cake and ice cream.

Grandma Paulette was the first to arrive.  She gave her a bunch of Little Pet Shops and a Princess coloring book.  She has been playing with them every day since.

Our Neighbors, Gary and Tina Bowers came and brought her a Webkin, Willy the Walrus, which she claims is her favorite gift.  Gary just got back from Afghanistan.  When I asked Emily what she wanted for her birthday, she told me she just wanted Gary to come home.  He got home four days before her birthday, so she was very excited to have him there!

Ty and Jess took Emily birthday shopping and to dinner the day before her birthday.  She looks forward to her annual birthday shopping and dinner trip all year long!  She picked out a swimming baby boy.  She soon discovered that he is anatomically correct, and it freaks her out/intrigues her.  I have to admit, it freaks me out a little bit too!

Cari and Guy gave her some PJs from Justice and a peace necklace.  She has worn the jammies to bed every night since her birthday.  They are so soft and snuggly.  I think I need some too :)

Grandma and Grandpa Shorty brought a Hannah Montana movie and book, an alarm clock, and an outfit.

She wanted a Hannah Montana guitar for her birthday cake and was very pleased with it.

Happy birthday angel :)  I hope you had a great day!

Gavin Language

Pachocable Punch = Tropical Punch

Tamario = Tomorrow
Aminal = Animal
Mr. Increbidle = Mr. Incredible

Gavin and I were having a conversation of something that would happen tomorrow.
Here it goes...
Gavin:  Tamario.
Mom:  Tamario?
Gavin:  NO!  Tamario!
Mom:  Tamario?
Gavin:  NO!!! TAMARIO!!!
Mom:  Tomorrow?
Gavin:  Yes.  Tamario.

Whew.  I'm glad we got that cleared up ;)

Gotta love Gavin language!

Tomboy

Emily was getting ready for school this morning, and decided that she wanted to wear one of her skirts.  I could tell by the way she was walking and twirling that she was feeling pretty.  I asked her if she wanted to wear some lotion so that she would smell pretty too.  She responded with "I'm kind of a tomboy.  You know, I like scary stuff".  I guess the lotion is a bit much for a tomboy :)

10 months

Kate is 10 months old now.  Here are some of her milestones:

  • She can sit from crawling.
  • She CAN crawl, but she chooses to scoot instead.  Faster that way?  I'm not sure.
  • She loves to feed herself.  Toast and raspberry jam is one of her favorites, but she is VERY messy!
  • She pulls herself to stand.
  • She waves bye bye.
  • She blows kisses by sticking her thumb into her mouth and pulling it out quickly so it makes a popping noise.
  • She loves her Sesame Street pop up toy.
  • She is starting to get into things.  She loves to pull out the Wii remotes and Play Station controllers.
  • She loves to look at herself in the mirror.
  • Bath time is her favorite time of the day.
  • She is a big mama's girl.  She cries whenever I put her down, or someone other than me tries to hold her.  So what do I do?  I hold her.  How do I get things done?  I don't.  But there will come a day that she won't want me to hold her anymore.  When that day comes, then I will get my chores accomplished.
