Dirty Bananas

Gavin came running to me the other day with these bananas in his hand and said "look mom... we have dirty bananas!"

Friday Night Campout

Friday night the kids decided that they wanted to have a campout in the family room.  We set up tents and sleeping bags, had hobo dinners and indoor smores by the "campfire", and played a few games.

The boys tent was much more wild than the girls tent.  There were a few times that I had to threaten them with sleeping in their own beds.  I'll bet it was after 11:00 by the time they finally fell asleep.

The girls tent was more my speed.  Emily fell asleep within about 5 minutes, and I wasn't far behind her!  We all had a great time!  We'll see where next Friday's adventure takes us.

If Travis' face is noticeably missing... it's because he's a
PARTY POOPER!!!

RSV

If it's not one thing with our family...  it's something else.  Kate was healthy on Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning with a cough. I thought that I'd better take her into the doctor to be checked and sure enough, after 4 hours at the doctor's office and hospital, she's got RSV. Luckily it's not bad enough to be hospitalized.  She has to have breathing treatments and they also gave me a BBG which stands for Baby Booger Getter.  I thought that they were kidding, but that really is the name of the machine.  It made me laugh!  Anyway, she is one sick little girl and we are crossing our fingers that this doesn't turn into something worse :(

Peek A Boo!

I thought these were really cute pictures of Gavin playing Peek-A-Boo with Kate!

Gavin Likes Carmel

We had apples with carmel dip and strawberries with chocolate sauce for a treat after dinner last night.  I left Gavin unattended for a few minutes (you'd think I'd learn my lesson).  This is what I found when I came back to the kitchen...

He had licked the carmel off of EVERY plate that he could get his hands on.  I told him he was going to get a belly ache to which he replied...

"GAVIN LIKES CARMEL!!!"

He really cracks me up!

Snow Day!

I'm glad that someone was excited to get more snow, because  I am ready for SPRING!!!  Everytime it snows, Gavin runs outside to catch snowflakes on his "ton".  I guess this picture is one good thing about it snowing again.

At least we don't live in Morgan where they received a whole MOUNTAIN of snow!  Emily had a great time climbing to the top of this pile at Grandpa Paul's house.

Fun Friday

I have decided to make each Friday "FUN FRIDAY" for our family. So last night we made cookies, ordered pizza (which we got to eat in the family room) and played games.  Then I let the kids sleep on the family room floor, and I got the couch.  Here's a run down of how last night went:  Gavin fell asleep on the couch with me.  I put him in bed with Travis at 10:00. Emily then joined me on the couch around 11:30.  Kate woke up at 1:00 for a feeding.  Gavin came back out at 2:00. I put Gavin in bed with Travis, and put Kate back in her crib.  I then went to Gavin's bed to sleep.  Kate woke back up at 5:00 for another feeding.  And Emily was up for the day at 6:45.  Why is it that during the week you have to pry them out of bed, but they are up at the crack of dawn on Saturday? Anyway, I love our new tradition and think that these are the times my kids will remember!

Another Gavin Moment

Here's another Gavin story that I had to post before I forgot.  I walked in the other morning to get him out of bed and he was coughing a little.  I asked if he was ok and he said, "No.  Gavin's choking."  (One of my favorite things about Gavin is that he refers to himself in the third person.  It's pretty funny!) I asked what he was choking on and after thinking it over for a minute, he replied, "Gavin's choking on my bed."

*Here's an addition to this post*

Gavin has been sick.  He was moaning in his bed so I went in to check on him.  I asked him "where do you feel sick?"  He didn't hesitate before answering "in my room."  I really need to figure out how to ask questions in a better way for him to understand :)

Kate's Blessing Day

We blessed Kate on Sunday.  What a special day it was!  She looked like a little angel in her beautiful dress and was promised some great blessings throughout her life.  We weren't able to get many pictures of her in her dress... she was much happier once we took it off (not to mention she pooped on it).  We had all of our family there to celebrate with us.  I am so grateful for wonderful family and friends that show us so much love and support.  We are definitely blessed!
