Happy Birthday Gavin

Gavin turned four years old yesterday. He was sooooo excited for his big day, he woke up at 4:00 a.m. Luckily, I was able to get him back to sleep for a couple of hours.

Emily woke up early to help me make his cake. I think the other kids were just as excited as Gavin was. After we baked the cake, we took him to Madbrook for a donut for breakfast.

Tyler and Emily have been doing extra chores and saving their money to buy him a special present. It was very heart warming for me to take them to the toy store and watch them pick out something they knew he would love. Emily chose Jet Ray, a Ben 10 action figure. Tyler picked 2 action figures from How to Train Your Dragon and the squishy dinosaur that Gavin has had his eye on for quite some time now. Gavin loved their gifts and was very grateful. I was so proud of Tyler and Emily for being so good to Gavin!

Grandma and Grandpa Shorty came and took Gavin to Warren's for lunch. When they asked what he wanted, he asked for a Blizzard from Papa Murphy's! He is so funny! And a little confused! He enjoyed a corn dog, fries and a Sprite for lunch, but changed his mind on the Blizzard because he was too full! They gave him a pre-party present to make up for it.

He was very anxious to open his presents, and it seemed cruel to make him wait so long, so I let him choose one present to open. He picked the perfect gift, and it kept him busy most of the day. He claims this was his favorite present...

I loved listening to him laugh and giggle. It brought back lots of childhood memories of doing the same thing. Have these hoppers always been this small? They seemed much larger when I was a kid :)

Gavin and his scooter.

This is Brainstorm, another Ben 10 action figure. He was very intrigued with the brain and said that it was "Bisguisting".

I think the cake was a hit. Judging from the following pictures.....

The victory dance!

"Oh ya!"

"Uh hu!"

"Woo Woo!"

His reaction made all the work seem worthwhile!

He is sneezing in this picture, but this is the best one we got!

He wanted his party at Chuck E. Cheese. Everyone was such a great sport, as I'm sure Chuck E. Cheese isn't on the top of their list. He had the time of his life. What a lucky little boy to be loved so much!

He was way too busy eating a cupcake to be bothered with blowing out the candles! Watch for the slobber at the very end.... I wonder who got that piece?

A few of Gavin's favorite things:
  • Color - Blue
  • Food - Fish - Really? I would have guessed chicken or pizza.
  • Song - Life is a Highway
  • Movie - Cars
  • Book - The Three Little Piggies, Goldilocks and the Three Bears
  • Toy - His new hopper
  • TV Show - Go, Diego, Go!
  • Animal - Duck
  • Restaurant - Old Macdonald's
  • Treat - Kit Kat
  • When I grow up...... I want to be a dad
Gavin is such a great boy! He has the best personality. He is funny and VERY friendly. I am so blessed to have him as my son!
